Ever feel like your relationship with money is like a bad reality TV show? One minute, everything feels wonderful, and you’re on top of the world… and the next, it feels like the rug has been pulled out from under you. A sale didn’t go through, unexpected bills show up, and forgotten expenses start piling up, sucking the life out of you.
And then… that familiar anxiety creeps back in. 💔
It doesn’t come alone; it brings its annoying friends: self-doubt, self-judgment, and shame.
Here’s the thing: money relationships can get complicated. And guess what? It’s not your fault.
Our money stories often begin in childhood. Let me share an example:
Jen* remembered being five years old, seeing a beautiful new doll in the store that she wanted so badly. When she asked her mom for it, her mom responded, voice tinged with sadness, "You can't have it; we can't afford it."
Now, as a mom myself, I get it—sometimes that’s a valid response. But the problem is what the little child inside of us makes it mean. In Jen’s case, she interpreted it as: "Don’t ask for things, because people will feel bad." 😩
The impact of this story runs deep:
In my upcoming Healing Money Trauma Masterclass, we’ll dig into where these patterns come from and why they don’t have to be your story or reality anymore. Money trauma is real, but so is the power to heal it. Together, we’ll work to rewrite your money story, creating a relationship with money that feels secure, empowering, and abundant.
